VISA and Master Card Accepted

We are going to open a new office for Outpatient Services in downtown Redding! We hope to have control of the property by the 1st of July andto get certified as quickly as we possibly can. The Empire Recovery Center can now bill CMSP (County Medical Services Program), and we hope to as well be able to bill against private insurance companies by July 1st.

Please check our Wish List-- We need good desks, desk chairs, office chairs, reception room chairs, tables, filing cabinets, waste baskets, shredder(s) and computers-- in short, everything needed to outfit from 3 to 5 Counselor offices, the Reception area, and a Group room. We will even need a small refrigerator, coffee maker(s), etc.

Planting the Seeds of Recovery

A new event is coming again this year at the Old City Hall Arts Center, 1313 Market St., Redding.

The event, "Planting the Seeds of Recovery", will be featuring the art and creativity of Recovery and will be held June 9th, 2012, from 1200 Noon to 3:00 PM, and again that same day from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Thanks to Nathan Wallace for spearheading this event.


Help is Needed to Update Residents' Rooms

Paint, spackle, and elbow grease are needed to update resident rooms. Donations are welcome. We prefer off-white or white enamel type finishing paints. If you choose to donate, ERC will provide you with a letter of donation for your income tax deductions.

We are also always in need of good, clean, hardly used twin bed linens, towels and wash cloths, among other things. Please take a peek at our Wish List below.

And if you are traveling, save those complimentary soaps and shampoos. They are perfect for detox residents!

The Empire Recovery Center needs your help!

We are urgently seeking donations for our new and soon-to-open Outpatient office in downtown Redding!

We are in serious need of the following items:

  • Reception room chairs
  • Tables
  • Filing cabinets

  • Shredders
  • Computers
  • Small Refrigerator

To sum up, we need everything it takes to outfit 3 to 5 counselor offices, a reception area, and a group room.

We also have a need for items that would contribute to a more comfortable and pleasant environment for our residents:

  • Socks for men and women
  • Twin sheets, comforters, bedspreads
  • Bath towels
  • Coffee mugs
  • Silverware
  • Wall clocks
  • Chairs with rubber tips
  • Conference style tables for the classrooms

Adopt a Room Project

Our new Adopt A Room project is an opportunity for anyone who wants to "Adopt a Room" at the ERC Inpatient facility. Those wishing to join this worthy effort can decorate, clean, or perhaps purchase new supplies or furnishings in orderto make a resident's room upstairs at ERC inpatient building more homey and comfortable.

Cash donations to be used for bedding and other room supplies are also very needed and welcome.

More Alumni Participation is Needed

The ERC is looking to increase alumni attendance and Volunteerism. Our weekly alumni group is held at the ERC on Thursdays at 6pm. Our weekly family group is held on Wednesdays at the ERC at 6:30. We are encouraging family, alumni members, and friends of the ERC to attend family.

We are looking for alumni members to attend alumni meeting and to volunteer for duties at the ERC which include making copies, sitting in on groups, and various other activities.
